Senior Data Governance Specialist (f/m/d)
Your Responsibilities:
- Define, roll out, and adjust the data governance framework, including standards and processes, to ensure effective governance of data in domains
- Align data governance efforts across data domains and responsibilities, ensuring synergies are realized despite decentralized ownership of data
- Define, deploy, and track global data governance performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of data governance initiatives
- Provide steering and coaching to data stewards
- Manage and promote data governance knowledge-sharing activities across CureVac
- Specify data governance tooling requirements
Your Qualifications:
- University degree in a related field, or an equivalent qualification
- Extensive experience in leading data governance in a corporate, environment including data governance principles, data protection, and privacy laws and regulations, preferably in the Life Science area
- Leadership skills focusing on technically leading data stewards in a matrix organization, capability of managing multiple initiatives, prioritizing tasks, and achieving objectives within timelines
- Experience in change management; capability of driving the adoption of new data governance practices and culture within organizations
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder alignments with data owners on a senior management level as well as data stewards on a subject matter expert level
- Fluency in English, German is a plus
