Engineer (f/m/d) Assay Development - Bioassay

To strengthen our team in Tübingen near Stuttgart, we are currently looking to recruit a

 

Engineer (f/m/d) Assay Development - Bioassay

 

Your responsibilities:

 

  • Writing and maintenance of SOPs for cell-based and other bioanalytical assays
  • Support project report preparation and submission with document management software
  • Work in a team to support establishing innovative methods in cell biology and biochemistry with different model system (cell lines)
  • Support data analysis and documentation of experimental results (in electronic form and on paper)
  • Support method transfer to quality control department and CRO
  • Support sample management to facilitate project work and experiment plan
  • Assist with laboratory organization (i.e., device maintenance, order-related and other administrative tasks)
  • Preparation of presentations and device user instructions

 

Your qualifications:

 

  • Requires a bachelor's or master's degree in the biological sciences or related field
  • A minimum of 1–4 years of experience with mammalian cell culture and bioassays in microplate format
  • Familiar with basic laboratory techniques, including but not limited to: aseptic expansion of mammalian cell culture and routine analytical procedures on cell culture samples, as well as cell-culture parameters in general (cell growth rate, cell density, viability, population doubling, metabolites and cell waste, etc.)
  • Experience in biochemical and molecular methods (e.g., ELISA, western blot, enzyme assays, protein expression, immune stimulation and electrophoretic methods)
  • Knowledge in statistical data analysis and experimental design (DoE) is of advantage
  • Experience in method validation would be a benefit
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and document management software
  • Reliable and independent work style
  • Structured way of working
  • Fluent English and German spoken and in writing
  • Excellent team spirit and communication skill
