Azure IT Engineer (m/w/d)

The Digital Strategy & Governance function is responsible to define and drive CureVac’s ambitious Digital Transformation Agenda.  As Azure IT Engineer (w/m/f) with strong hands-on mentality and experience you will administrate and develop our Azure Platform. In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate and significantly contribute in the execution of  CureVac's Cloud Strategy.  

 

To strengthen our team in Tübingen near Stuttgart, in Wiesbaden or in our Amsterdam office, we are currently looking to recruit an

 

Azure IT Engineer (f/m/d)

 

 

 

Your responsibilities:

  

  • Support the corporate cloud adoption (at scale), including establishing governance mechanisms, delivering migration projects, and implement technical solutions on Microsoft Azure 

  • Interact with corporate stakeholders (IT governance, IT infrastructure, IT network, IT security, etc.) to define corporate requirements & guidelines 

  • Administrate the Azure platform and constantly improve it 

  • Develop and configure PaaS/IaaS solutions on Azure 

  • Develop networking, backup, monitoring and security solutions on Azure 

  • Develop Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) automation and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and GitHub in a DevSecOps mindset 

  • Analyze/troubleshoot and remediate technical cloud issues 

  • Advise project teams on cloud cost management tactics 

   

  

Your qualifications:

  

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent  

  • Some years of (technical) experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud development 

  • Knowledge of various backend development languages like Java, Go and Python 

  • Knowledge of various database technologies like MySQL, MongoDB and Oracle 

  • Knowledge of various frontend web development languages like JavaScript, HTML and CSS   

  • Knowledge of various aspects of a technology architecture like integration, network, and security  

  • Knowledge of information principles and processes 

  • Knowledge of financial models and budgeting 

  • Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as waterfall, spiral, agile software development, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronize and stabilize, and DevOps) 

  • Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 

  • Excellent understanding of application development methodologies  
  • Excellent analytical, planning, organizational and technical and skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
