Scientist in Technical Platform Development (f/m/d)

CureVac SE is a global biopharmaceutical company researching and developing novel drugs based on the natural molecule Messenger RNA (mRNA). Our focus is on prophylactic vaccines, innovative cancer immunotherapies and protein-based therapies. Currently, all RNA people are striving to achieve our main goal: To bring multiple best-in-class mRNA drugs to market.

To strengthen our team in Tübingen near Stuttgart, we are currently looking to recruit a

Scientist in Technical Platform Development (f/m/d)
 

Your responsibilities:  

•    Based on scientific data, you evaluate critical quality attributes (CQAs) of mRNA as active ingredients and LNP formulations with regard to efficacy and safety
•    By working closely with multiple development teams and process experts, you continuously gain knowledge and incorporate relevant observations into your assessments
•    You identify gaps, initiate necessary studies in coordination with the project teams and departments and coordinate cross-functional activities as required 
•    You act as a competent contact person for our project teams, advising them on topics related to Quality Target Product Profiles (qTPPs) and CQA assessments

Your qualifications:

•    PhD in the field of biotechnology, pharmacy, chemistry or a comparable qualification 
•    Profound professional experience in biotechnology or in the pharmaceutical industry
•    Ideally, previous knowledge of mRNA and lipid nanoparticles or liposomes
•    In-depth knowledge in the field of analytics
•    Basic knowledge of clinical trials and phase-specific requirements for the characterization of investigational medicinal products 
•    Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills 
•    Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
•    Prior experience in technical writing is a plus
•    Fluency in English is a must, additional German skills are preferred
