FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions / FAQs
(CureVac Germany)

We are pleased that you are interested in CureVac as a potential employer. Our FAQs are designed to help you with typical questions about applications and our process.

Who are we looking for? What is important to us?
In addition to the formal requirements in terms of qualifications and practical experience, enthusiasm for our company and our mission is particularly important to us.

We are looking for people who contribute with passion and commitment and share the values of our company. Some jobs also require specific language skills (German and/or English).

How do I apply for a job?
Due to the large number of jobs and applications, it is often difficult and time-consuming to answer emails or regular mail.

Therefore, we kindly ask for applications to only be submitted via our career portal or the button/link in the respective job advertisement.

If there is no suitable position for you at the moment, we look forward to receiving your unsolicited application via the portal.

Which requirements must be observed?
You can upload your documents (cover letter, curriculum vitae/résumé  as well as references and certificates) individually or as one document. Possible file formats are PDF, JPG, PNG, Word, and GIF.

A single document must not exceed 7 MB in size. Please note that files cannot be transferred via mobile phone/tablet or mobile devices with iOS operating systems (e.g. iPad, iPhone, etc.). Furthermore, the documents should not be password- or write-protected in order to be processed.

What happens after I applied?
After submitting your documents, you will receive a confirmation of receipt via email.

We always check your application carefully and individually. Therefore, the duration of the process can vary depending on the number of applications and the level of the position.

You will of course receive feedback from us as soon as possible.

How does the further application process work?
If the feedback is positive, we will set up a first meeting as part of an interview. Depending on the situation, this can take place in person or by telephone/video conference.

In this interview, we explore the possibilities of a cooperation and further discuss the process.

How can I stay in contact with CureVac?
We cannot offer you a suitable position at the moment? Simply subscribe to our "Job Alert" via the career portal and you will automatically be informed by email about interesting positions. We are also present at numerous (career) fairs and forums, and we look forward to your visit.
What should my CV include?
(CureVac Inc., USA)

Please do carefully consider the role you are applying for and tailor your CV accordingly. It's important to clearly and concisely present all your relevant skills, experience and training.

Do I need a cover letter?
It's always advisable to include a cover letter. It complements your CV and makes your application more specific to the role. The letter should describe specifically how you meet the requirements for the role; it is a real opportunity to show why you feel the role would suit you. The information that you have provided in both your CV and cover letter will be used to review your application. No other documentation is required at the application stage.

Will I be invited to an interview?
We will review your application and check how well your CV and cover letter match the requirements of the role. If we think that you may be suitable for the role, we will invite you for a phone/WebEx or face-to-face interview.

What does an interview involve?
If you are invited for a face-to-face interview, we will schedule meetings for you with a number of CureVac colleagues to give you the opportunity to get to know CureVac as a company and to ask any questions you might have. During the interview we also evaluate together the possibilities of cooperation and further discuss the process.
