CureVac AG is a biopharmaceutical company researching and developing novel drugs based on the natural molecule Messenger RNA (mRNA). Our focus is on innovative cancer immunotherapies, prophylactic vaccines and molecular therapies. Currently, about 500 RNA people are striving to achieve our main goal: To bring multiple best-in-class mRNA drugs to market.

Vendor Manager Clinical Operations (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain vendor management end-to-end processes. Ensure relevant documentation is developed and maintained according to established standards
  • Take input on and implement process improvements
  • Build a trusted environment for developing collaboration and process flows
  • Support establishing departmental and cross-functional policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the entire life cycle of vendor selection across multiple clinical development programs, under minimal to no supervision
  • Works with internal customers in vendor bidding and proposal development (e.g RFP creation and analysis)
  • Assists with vendor presentation preparation and bid defense meetings
  • Assists / train new staff in resolving moderately complex issues, where needed
  • Manages vendor relationships on study and program level, preferred provider and strategic vendor oversight, in close collaboration with all relevant internal stakeholder groups
  • Support integration of CureVac and vendor teams and process to drive success of new collaborations
  • Support oversight of clinical trial execution with external partners
  • No Line Management responsibilities

Your qualifications:

  • Several years of vendor management/ procurement experience, ideally within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and in-depth knowledge of clinical study functions
  • Experience managing complex outsourcing programs
  • Experienced and comfortable working in a virtual team
  • High proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Travel may be required, up to 25%
