CureVac AG is a biopharmaceutical company researching and developing novel drugs based on the natural molecule Messenger RNA (mRNA). Our focus is on innovative cancer immunotherapies, prophylactic vaccines and molecular therapies. Currently, about 600 RNA people are striving to achieve our main goal: To bring multiple best-in-class mRNA drugs to market.

Associate Director Business Development RNA Printer (f/m/d)

Your responsibilities:

  • Expand our network for our RNA Printer technology via collaboration with medical
    device-, engineering-, datascience-, pharma- and biotech companies as well as with
    selected academic centers and governmental/non-governmental departments
  • Initiate, draft, negotiate and conclude license and consortia agreements
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with key stakeholders across the industry
  • Lead cross-functional and highly interdisciplinary teams within a complex network of
    responsibilities to facilitate the deal-making process
  • Work on several projects with tight timelines simultaneously and transparently

Your qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in natural sciences and/or engineering with knowledge of molecular biology or similar disciplines
  • Several years of leadership experience in high-growth tech and/or life science companies
  • Proven track record of executed agreements in tech/life science
  • Understanding of technical, regulatory and commercial aspects of GMP production as well as the challenges with sourcing critical raw materials and key components
  • Good understanding of the drug development process and the CMO business model
  • Ability to quickly come to grips with new technologies and drug development strategies in a fast-changing environment
  • Demonstrate persistence and resilience and integrate complex information (i.e., technical and financial) when generating solutions
  • Very good English communication skills (verbally and in writing) with capability to lead negotiations
  • High level of intercultural and interpersonal capabilities with proven team leadership skills and the ability to guide team members in a highly dynamic environment
  • International experience is an advantage
  • German language skills are an asset
